Quinson Prehistory Museum
Alpes de Haute Provence
CG des Alpes de Haute Provence
The first inhabitants of the Alpes de Haute Provence settled between Quinson and Moustier-Sainte-Marie. So it was only natural that Quinson should be the site of the Gorges du Verdon prehistory museum. Designed by Norman Foster, architect of the Millau Viaduct, this is Europe’s largest museum dedicated to prehistory, with galleries using the latest technology to plunge us into the history of prehistoric man.
